New and improved, this blog has EVERY SINGLE post ever posted on both the Studio Blog AND the Tour Blog. So in case you've missed any entries over the past few months, don't worry: they're all right here! Use the Archive to the right and you'll be able to go month-by-month, post-by-post to go back and revisit all the fun we've had since the blog started in June.

Let us know if what you think! Not too much will be different as far as content and keep you informed but now you have ONE SPOT to check out everything blog-related for AMP. Sorry to everyone for changing the address yet again but we really wanted to keep everything centralized and not have new blogs every time we move from the studio to tour to wherever we might be. Studio Update!!

What's up everyone! We took a few, precious minutes away from the studio and stepped outside into the beautiful southern California sun to say hello to all of you and give you a quick update on our goings-on...

We're in the studio tonight, tomorrow, and the next day... you get the idea. So please go out tonight and have some fun for us! We're having fun but it's also hard work. It's going to be great, though.

It's already Thursday!? Wow, these days just fly by when you're in a studio all day long. Things are coming along great and we're super excited with everything so far. Can't wait to give you guys a listen. Unfortunately, it'll probably still be a little while before we have anything ready for you so please be patient with us. Thanks for all the feedback on the blog lately - it's nice to check up on breaks from recording to see that you guys have been keeping track of our progress on here, so please keep the responses coming!! They feed our lifeforce!!

We are now halfway through our second week in the studio and some of us have reached a level of delirium. Some more than others. During a brief break from recording, Spencer and Christian found themselves... well, you should just see for yourselves.

As we've been spending hours and hours in the studio this week, we've been remembering just how much fun we had on tour and how much we learned about ourselves and life in general.

Most of you have probably seen the video "The Return of Darryl." Well, we haven't seen him since that day when he hitchhiked out of Evansville, IN. We figured he probably caught up with some other buddies or another band and stayed out on the road. Turns out, we were wrong. Darryl is in Los Angeles! Someone tipped us off to a Craigslist ad that he took out looking for work. Check it out (if you click on the picture it'll open it up big so you can read it):


We're not really in the market for a new roadie at the moment - not that we'd hire that guy again - but it's nice to hear that Darryl is back and he's doing all right. We didn't leave on good terms, exactly, but there were moments that we all had a really fun time - like in Texas. Well, until he got out of control. Which is usually what always happened.

Anyway, maybe drop him a line if you know of any bands that might be interested. Here's the link to the actual ad:

SECRET SHOW PICTURES!!

Thanks so much to everyone who made it out our secret show in Hollywood on Saturday. It was really amazing to see so many familiar faces who have been with us since the very beginning as well as new ones that we've met along the way. We had a total blast and we hope you did, too.

If you've checked out our MySpace bulletins, you should have read that we got signed to Universal/Motown and we actually started recording our VERY FIRST FULL LENGTH ALBUM TODAY!!! We'll keep you posted on everything but just remember that we wouldn't be here without all of you. You've helped make this happen and for that we thank you.

The Return of Darryl!

I know everyone heard about Darryl over the tour - some of the rumors true, some not - and you've probably wondered whatever happened to him. He started out with such promise, such potential, but it didn't quite all come to fruition. Here's what happened when he came back on tour after having had some previous disagreements with the band in the past...

After a few weeks of rest and getting back to our lives in LA, we're back up and blogging again. If you haven't already checked out the amptour2008.blogspot.com blog, check back there to see a couple new videos that you may have missed, including the live acoustic set from St. Paul, MN. There's a link on the right side of the page for your viewing pleasure.

If you didn't already know, we will be performing a SECRET SHOW in Hollywood on Saturday. This Saturday, as in tomorrow! Check out our MySpace to find out the details. Make sure to get there early so you can be sure to make it in. We'd love to see as many faces as possible. This is the last show we're going to do before we head into the studio on MONDAY!!! We're so excited and we'll have so much to tell you about next week.
